We’re raising our fair value estimate to $167 per share from $165 for wide-moat 3M, reflecting the time value of money since our last update. 3M’s North American exposure and diversified portfolio helped offset pockets of weakness in the quarter, as sales remained relatively flat year over year at approximately $7.7 billion. 3M’s healthcare and consumer businesses continued to perform particularly well, reporting 5% and 3% year-over-year organic revenue growth, respectively, outperforming agains...3M is a technology company. The company has four segments: Safety and Industrial, which consists of personal safety, industrial adhesives and tapes, abrasives, closure and masking systems, electrical markets, automotive aftermarket, and roofing granules; Transportation and Electronics, which consists of electronics, automotive and aerospace, commercial solutions, advanced materials, and transportation safety; Health Care, which includes medical solutions, oral care, separation and purification sciences, health information systems, drug delivery systems, and food safety; and Consumer, which consists of home improvement, stationery and office supplies, home care, and consumer health care.
