Good Start to 2017 for Agnico Eagle, but Lofty Gold Prices Limit Upside at This Time
Agnico Eagle followed up a solid 2016 with continued strong performance through the first quarter of 2017. The company produced 418,216 gold ounces at total cash costs of $539 per ounce and all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $741 per ounce. High gold prices have allowed Lapa to extend its expected closure by another quarter, leading the company to raise full-year production guidance to 1.57 million ounces from 1.55.
