Agnico Eagle has been a solid performer over the last several years, and 2016 was no exception. For the full year, the company produced nearly 1.7 million ounces at all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $824 per ounce, beating its production and cost guidance yet again. As capital spending picks up and production falls as the company focuses on development of the Amaruq satellite deposit at Meadowbank and the Meliadine project, 2017 and 2018 will be transition years for Agnico Eagle.
