Air Canada continues to transform its business but faces stiff competition on international routes.

Air Canada posted solid full-year results for all of 2016, but ended the year on a negative note as revenue grew but operating margins contracted due to higher fuel, wage, and depreciation expenses. This resulted in GAAP EPS of negative 66 cents in the fourth quarter of 2016. We like the ongoing turnaround at the carrier coupled with management’s growth plans.
