AMP Disappoints With Trading Update; Fair Value Estimate Lowered to AUD 5.30
AMP has provided a disappointing market update for the third quarter to Sept. 30, 2016, which included significant impairments, wealth protection experience losses, and lower-margin guidance. While we were reminded of the firm's strong capital position and the potential for a capital return, the negatives remain the clear takeaway from this update, given their materiality.
