AMP’s Underperformance Is a Short-Term Concern. AUD 5.50 FVE Unchanged
The short-term outlook for AMP Limited remains clouded following the disappointing 2016 financial performance released in early February. Life insurance and income protection insurance were the primary causes of the disappointments with the wealth protection business incurring a AUD 415 million operating loss and an additional AUD 668 million in goodwill written off.
