Anixter Holds Margins in a Flat Sales Environment
We reiterate Anixter’s $69 fair value estimate and narrow moat rating following the third-quarter earnings report. Results show that the company is in the latter stages of integrating its Power Solutions acquisition and that the enhanced product breadth recently translated into new customer assignments, including a new five-year contract worth $750 million of cumulative revenue. The company was also optimistic that its expanded product breadth would allow it to win more business in the Electrica...Anixter International is engaged in the distribution of network and security solutions, electrical and electronic solutions, and utility power solutions through Anixter Inc. and its subsidiaries. The Network and Security Solutions segment supplies products and customized supply chain solutions. The Electrical and Electronic Solutions segment supplies wire and cable, control, lighting and electrical bulk products and customized supply chain solutions. The Utility Power Solutions segment supplies electrical transmission and distribution products, power plant maintenance, repair and operations supplies and smart-grid products, and arranges materials management and procurement outsourcing.
