Relaunching Coverage of Narrow-Moat Anixter with a $91 Fair Value Estimate; Shares Are Undervalued
Upon transfer of coverage to a new analyst, we've taken a fresh look at Anixter’s fundamentals and valuation. We are increasing our fair value estimate to $91 from $74 per share. The increase in our fair value estimate is driven by our expectations for stronger growth and profitability over our 5-year forecast horizon, driven by the normalization of Electrical and Electronics Solutions, or EES, segment growth and profitability and relatively steady Network and Security Solutions, or NSS, and Uti...Anixter International is engaged in the distribution of network and security solutions, electrical and electronic solutions, and utility power solutions through Anixter Inc. and its subsidiaries. The Network and Security Solutions segment supplies products and customized supply chain solutions. The Electrical and Electronic Solutions segment supplies wire and cable, control, lighting and electrical bulk products and customized supply chain solutions. The Utility Power Solutions segment supplies electrical transmission and distribution products, power plant maintenance, repair and operations supplies and smart-grid products, and arranges materials management and procurement outsourcing.
