Total Deal Slicks the Way for a Complete Disposal of Maersk Energy, Valuation Neutral
On Aug. 21, no-moat Maersk announced that it had agreed to sell Maersk Oil to French major Total SA. Total will pay a total of $7.45 billion in shares, with the transaction closing in first-quarter 2018.
