Arconic’s aerospace and automotive product lines will help the company deliver profitable growth.

On Feb. 15, Arconic sold 60% of the 19.9% equity stake it maintained in Alcoa Corp. after the upstream, commodity-facing operations were spun off from the parent late last year. We've raised our fair value estimate to account for the fact that the stake was sold at a higher price than that implied by its carrying value as of year-end 2016. Our fair value estimate for Arconic rises to $24 per share from $22, and our no-moat rating is unchanged.
