Banco de Chile’s Results Support Our Long-Term Thesis
Nothing in Banco de Chile’s results alters our long-term view of the firm. For the 2017 year, the bank posted lackluster results, with operating revenue decreasing by 1.5% relative to 2016. That said, the fourth quarter saw a year-over-year improvement of 3.4%. Most of the annual decrease in operating revenue can be attributed to an appreciably weaker third quarter this year.
