Bayer Announces June 7 Closing Date for Monsanto Acquisition
On June 4, Bayer announced that it will complete the acquisition of Monsanto on June 7. The announcement comes after the companies have received all regulatory approvals needed to close the deal. Once the acquisition is complete, Bayer will no longer use the Monsanto name. Our fair value estimates for both Monsanto and Bayer already reflect a 100% probability that the deal closes as proposed. We maintain our $128 per share fair value estimate for wide-moat Monsanto, which is the same as the all-...Bayer is a life sciences group based in Germany.
