Morningstar | Bendigo's retail bank branch focus and high customer satisfaction levels are core strengths.

As one of Australia's three remaining regional banks, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, or Bendigo, boasts strengths including brand, customer loyalty, and its unique community branch distribution model. All of its major operating segments have been profitable for the past several years, but slowing credit growth and debt serviceability will be tested in an economic slowdown. Over the longer term, we expect Bendigo to continue delivering solid operating results, but we do not expect consistent returns in excess of our estimated cost of equity. Bendigo successfully competes on customer service, but struggles to generate comparable profitability because of its much smaller customer base and higher funding and operating costs.
