BNP Paribas reported good first-quarter results, as improving market conditions lifted global markets operations from weak results last year. Net income increased 13% to EUR 1.9 billion excluding exceptional items. Cost of risk decreased significantly by 32 basis points, or EUR 165 million in monetary terms.
