Boeing's backlog of more than 5,600 commercial aircraft provides visibility in uncertain times.

Wide-moat Boeing reported third-quarter 2017 results that beat expectations (helped by tax adjustments) and featured solid free cash flow growth of 13.4% in the quarter. Over the past three months, Boeing shares have traded at $130-$135 versus our fair value estimate of $141. Based on the results, particularly the cash flow and solid margins in the defense business, we plan to raise our fair value estimate by about $4, to $145 per share.
