Burberry Reports Mixed Bag in First Half; Shares Offer Modest Upside

Wide-moat Burberry Group reported a first-half organic revenue decline of 4%, although the continued weakness in sterling is boosting reported growth (up 5%). Wholesale and licencing sales declines drove the revenue contraction, but a significant improvement in comparable retail sales is encouraging. We are reiterating our GBX 1,550 fair value estimate, and we believe the sell-off on today's news offers a modest amount of upside to the shares.
