Despite related in euro and dollar costs, Burberry should see long-run benefits from the weak pound.

Burberry Group reported fiscal first-quarter retail segment revenue of GBP 423 million, flat with last year on a constant-currency basis but up 4% because of the weak British pound. Comparable-store sales declined 3%, and while wholesale and licensing segment figures are not disclosed in the first-quarter update, management said it expects both to be down in the first half.
