Calix’s revenue growth was on the higher end of management’s guidance and our expectations due to a ramp in network deployments related to the CAF II program. However, the adjusted EPS loss of $0.30 was surprisingly lower than the original guidance of $0.21-$0.27, as Calix continued to address negative gross margin in its services segment. Management expects this trend to persist over the next two quarters with a visible improvement starting in 2018.
