Marvell in Talks to Merge With Cavium to Potentially Form a Well-Diversified Semiconductor Player

On Nov. 3, The Wall Street Journal reported that Marvell and Cavium are in advanced talks to combine. Cavium shareholders would receive a slight premium, and the combined entity would possess a market capitalization of roughly $14 billion, based on recent share prices.
