Citigroup's progress is underappreciated.
The Federal Reserve is once again maintaining the target federal-funds rate at 0.25% to 0.50% after its most recent meeting. We’re not surprised to see the central bank hold onto its cautious stance toward raising interest rates given that the primary risk of an accommodative policy—excessive inflation—still seems remote.
