DaVita reported second-quarter performance relatively in line with our expectations. Management slightly raised the bottom end of its year-end outlook for the kidney care segment while the medical group division remains in rough shape. This quarter included a $51 million goodwill impairment charge in the medical group related to persistent Medicare Advantage rate pressure.
