DowDuPont's completed merger should add value to shareholders.

DowDuPont reported decent results in its first quarter reporting as one company after the merger closed at the end of August. Operating EBITDA was up 7% on a year-on-year, pro forma basis thanks to 4% volume growth in the specialty chemicals business and materials science businesses.
