Ecolab's Water Business Generates Growth as Our Long-Term Outlook Remains On Track
Wide-moat Ecolab reported decent first-quarter results, as sales growth was offset by higher costs primarily due to raw materials inflation. Although operating income was flat versus last year, management raised 2018 adjusted EPS guidance to $5.25 to $5.45 per share as the company expects to increase prices over the rest of year and higher volumes from new customers and the rollout of new products.
