ETP Misses Third-Quarter Expectations but All Eyes on Dakota Access; Go-Ahead Coming Soon
Energy Transfer Partners reported third-quarter earnings below expectations with adjusted EBITDA of $1.39 billion compared with consensus of $1.44 billion. Weaker results at Sunoco Logistics and within ETP’s own natural gas business weighed on earnings. The Liquids Transportation and Services segment marked a bright spot with 20% increase in adjusted EBITDA from Lone Star fractionator and higher NGL volumes. A week prior to the earnings release, ETP closed its acquisition of 100% of the GP inter...Energy Transfer Partners, through its subsidiaries, conduct activities such as natural gas operations; and interstate natural gas transportation and storage; and crude oil, natural gas liquid and refined product. The company's segment includes: Intrastate Transportation and Storage, which owns and operates a natural gas open-access interstate pipeline network; Midstream, which consists of natural gas gathering, compression, treating, processing, storage, and transportation; NGL and Refined Products Transportation and Services, which transport, store and execute acquisition and marketing activities utilizing a network of pipelines, storage and blending facilities.
