Weaker Chinese demand for base metals will limit returns on First Quantum's large growth potential.

In the face of weak copper prices and a burdensome debt load, no-moat First Quantum continues to make progress on the cost front. The company lowered its 2016 cost guidance for the second quarter in a row, dropping the midpoint of its unit cost guidance by roughly 6% to $1.05-$1.15 per pound.
