The push to boost crop yields should benefit agriculture-focused FMC.

FMC reported first-quarter earnings with results that were generally in line with our expectations. Management raised its 2017 lithium segment operating profit guidance to a midpoint of $110 million for 2017 (versus $100 million previously), while agricultural solutions operating profit guidance remained the same with a midpoint of $430 million.
