GEA's 3Q Shows Encouraging Top-Line Growth and Margin Improvements
GEA's third-quarter figures showed EBIT margin improvement--this is an important figure, as it has been a hot button with investors since the company's significant profit warning just over a year ago. The quarterly EBIT margin of 11.9% was up 156 and 110 basis points on a year-over-year and sequential basis, respectively, while still down from the previous long-term guidance of 13%-16%, a level that activist investor Elliott Management is also keen to see.
