Gildan gains market share, but demand headwinds pressure near-term top-line growth.
Like other apparel manufacturers, no-moat Gildan’s printwear and branded apparel second-quarter sales tracked weaker than our expectations due to distributor inventory destocking (printwear) and sluggish store traffic trends with weakness in department stores and national chains (branded).
