One FICC Quarter Isn’t Predictive of Goldman Sachs Underperforming Going Forward
We don’t believe that investors should look too much in to Goldman Sachs having underperformed peers in its fixed income, currencies, and commodities business in the first quarter. Unlike peer Morgan Stanley that restructured its fixed income trading business and whose trading results should be monitored more closely, Goldman Sachs just likely had an anomalous trading quarter.
