Gulfport Shares Rocket After Extremely Strong 1Q
Gulfport Energy started the year on the right foot by trumping both guidance and consensus estimates in the first quarter. Production was 1,288.6 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent, which was 8% lower sequentially due to a lumpy completion schedule (this was clearly foreshadowed by management ahead of the release). Previous guidance was about 5% below the reported output.
