HP Reports In-Line 2Q, Announces CFO Transition Plan; Shares Look Fairly Valued
HP delivered second-quarter results that were in line with our expectations for both revenue and earnings. Personal Systems and Print  continued their resurgence in the quarter, showing strength on both the top and bottom line. While we believe that 3-D printing and a managed print service focus will provide new growth opportunities for HP, we think that secular headwinds in traditional printing will limit overall growth. We are maintaining our no moat rating and $22 fair value estimate per sha...HP is a provider of personal computing and other access devices, imaging and printing products, and related technologies, solutions and services. The company's segments are: Personal Systems, which provides commercial and consumer desktop and notebook personal computers, workstations, thin clients, commercial mobility devices, retail point-of-sale systems, displays and other related accessories, software, support and services; Printing, which provides consumer and commercial printer hardware, supplies, solutions and services, as well as scanning devices; and Corporate Investments, which includes HP Labs and certain business incubation and investment projects.
