No Additional Surprises Emerge in Honeywell’s Third Quarter; Shares Fairly Valued
On the heels of its dismal Oct. 7 profit warning, Honeywell took time during its third-quarter conference call to reassure investors that better days are ahead for the wide-moat company. Third-quarter revenue came in largely as expected, dropping 3% year over year on an organic basis to $9.8 billion. As previously communicated, weakness in business jet and helicopter markets, additional funding of OEM incentive payments, ongoing challenges in oil and gas, and tough comps in productivity solution...Honeywell International is a technology and manufacturing company. The company has four segments: Aerospace, which supplies products, software and services for aircrafts; Honeywell Building Technologies, which provides products, software, solutions and technologies including building control and optimization, energy management, access control, video surveillance, fire products, and remote patient monitoring systems; Performance Materials and Technologies, which develops and manufactures chemicals and materials, process technologies and automation solutions; and Safety and Productivity Solutions, which provides products and software that improve productivity, workplace safety and asset performance.
