A stronger company today, Host Hotels is ready to go where the markets will take it.
Host Hotels & Resorts had a difficult third quarter that erased much of the gains from the prior two quarters. Part of this was due to difficult comps from last quarter, which benefited from both a seasonal holiday shift and macroeconomic tailwind. The other portion of this quarter’s weakness can be attributed to the one-time adverse impact of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. In addition, the company owns non-controlling interests in domestic and international joint venture and a timeshare joint venture in Hawaii.
