Intel Outlines Plan to Defend Crown Jewel Data Center Business at 2017 Investor Meeting
On Thursday, Feb. 9, we attended Intel’s investor meeting at its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and came away with renewed confidence in our investment thesis for the wide-moat chip leader. The biggest takeaway, from our perspective, was that Intel will be adjusting the priority of which products go to new process technologies first, with data center processors now taking precedence over PC chips. This is a monumental shift in strategy for Intel, which traditionally benefited from perf...Intel is a data-centric company.
