James Hardie's leading position in U.S. and Australian cements leads to its narrow economic moat.

We lower our fair value estimate for narrow-moat James Hardie to AUD 15.60 from AUD 16.20 as we transition coverage to a new analyst. The main driver of this change is a weaker U.S. dollar versus Australian dollar--we use the spot rate of 0.79 USD/AUD, versus 0.76 previously--partially offset by a lower 8.7% weighted average cost of capital compared with a prior 9.0%.
