Paracatu Weighs on Otherwise Strong Quarter; Kinross on Track to Hit Full-Year Guidance
Kinross reported strong operational performance in the third quarter of 2017 that was partially marred by temporary challenges at its Paracatu mine in Brazil. With the exception of Kettle River-Buckhorn and Maricunga, which are at the end of their mine lives, Kinross’ mines all saw production increase. However, Paracatu saw a major decline in production, as the mine was off line from July through October due to below average rainfall.
