Mayne Pharma announced the launch of morphine sulfate extended-release, or MSER, tablets (15mg, 30mg, 60mg and 100mg) in the United States following approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA. This is a generic version of MS Contin and joins six other generic versions of MSER tablets vying for a share of the U.S. market, which over the past 12 months has generated sales of branded and generic versions combined of approximately USD 280 million.
