Micron Taps Industry Veteran and SanDisk Co-Founder Sanjay Mehrotra as Next CEO
On April 27, Micron Technology announced that its board of directors appointed Sanjay Mehrotra as CEO, effective May 8, to replace retiring CEO Mark Durcan. We view this move favorably as Mehrotra boasts an impressive resume, having co-founded SanDisk and serving as its CEO from 2011 to 2016. SanDisk was a pioneer in flash storage that was ultimately bought out by Western Digital in 2016 for $16 billion. With Mehrotra at the helm, we believe Micron will continue to broaden its end-market exposur...Micron Technology provides memory and storage solutions.
