Rising Interest Rates and Uncertainty Should Prolong Morgan Stanley's Strong Performance
Morgan Stanley had a strong finish to 2016, and some tailwinds are likely to persist in 2017. The company reported net income to common shareholders of $1.5 billion, or $0.81 per diluted share, on $9 billion of revenue in the fourth quarter. Fixed-income trading continued its run from the previous quarter, booking $1.47 billion in revenue.
