MYOB Remains Undervalued Despite ACCC’s Concerns About Reckon Acquisition
We maintain our fair value estimate for MYOB at AUD 4.05 per share despite the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s, or ACCC’s, concerns about MYOB’s AUD 180 million acquisition of Reckon’s accounting practice management, or APM, business. At the current market price of AUD 3.05, we still believe MYOB shares are significantly undervalued. The ACCC’s main concern is that the acquisition will give MYOB a monopoly over the sale of accounting practice software to midsize and large accoun...MYOB Group is engaged in development and publishing of software and the provision of services for small and medium enterprises, including accountants in public practice. Co.'s operating segments comprise of SME Solutions, which provides business management software and services to small and medium enterprises; Practice Solutions, which provides business software and services to accounting professionals in practice; and Enterprise Solutions, which provides enterprise resource planning and human resource management software and services to medium and large enterprises.
