Nordstrom’s third quarter was highlighted by a return to comparable sales growth (up 2.4% versus a 1.2% decline in the second quarter and 1.7% decline in the first quarter) and profitability improvement (retail gross margin increased 93 basis points to 34.8% following a 100 basis point decline last quarter).
