Telematics could bolster Progressive's moat.

Overall, we see nothing in Progressive’s third-quarter results that changes our long-term view. We do believe, however, that the quarter highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to achieve an appropriate balance between growth and profitability. Net earned premium growth was strong at 13% year over year, and Progressive saw 10% growth in direct auto policies while also maintaining 5% growth in agency auto policies.
