PulteGroup is well-positioned for growth in 2018.
Although hurricane-related disruptions caused PulteGroup to miss its third-quarter home delivery guidance--the firm delivered 5,151 homes versus its guidance of 5,400-5,600--the no-moat homebuilder still managed to increase home sale revenue 9% year over year, and consolidated sales, which include land sales and financial services revenue, increased almost 10% to $2.13 billion (missing the $2.30 billion consensus estimate). PulteGroup’s adjusted earnings per share grew 40% year over year to $0.6...PulteGroup through its subsidiaries is engaged in the homebuilding business. The company also has mortgage banking operations, conducted principally through its susidiary, Pulte Mortgage LLC, and title and insurance brokerage operations. The company's homebuilding business includes the acquisition and development of land primarily for residential purposes within the United States. The company provides a variety of home designs, including single-family detached, townhouses, condominiums, and duplexes at different prices and with varying levels of options and amenities to its customer groups: first-time, move-up, and active adult.
