As guided earlier this year, AngloGold Ashanti saw performance meaningfully improve in the third quarter, as full-year results should be weighted toward the back half of 2017. Production and costs looked solid. Gold ounces produced rose 11% over the prior year quarter to 997,000 ounces, while all-in sustaining costs, or AISC, were flat at $1,071 per ounce.
