Wide-moat Rockwell's differentiated platform will benefit from a secular shift toward automation.

Following strong fiscal second-quarter earnings, we’re raising our fair value estimate for Rockwell Automation to $130 from $120 per share. We added $4 for time value of money and better-than-expected organic revenue growth in the quarter, which prompted management to raise full-year guidance for sales and profitability. The remainder came from lowering our U.S. federal statutory tax rate assumption to 25%, consistent with Morningstar’s belief that U.S corporate tax reform is likely in 2018.
