Sage Posts Weak 1Q Organic Revenue Growth, but Reiterates Full-Year Outlook; Shares Overvalued
Sage released its brief first-quarter 2018 trading update. The most notable takeaway was Sage’s weaker-than-expected first-quarter group organic revenue growth of 6.3%. With the company guiding for a fiscal 2018 growth rate around 8%, the differential was stark. The company attributed the weak performance to a continued poor performance in France (this was an issue in fiscal 2017, too) and a slight pause in selling given the company’s salesforce transition to selling its Sage Business Cloud.
