Salesforce Shopping Spree Continues; Acquiring Tableau
Salesforce.com announced the acquisition of Tableau in an all-stock transaction valued at $15.7 billion. Strategically, we view the transaction as somewhat mixed. Salesforce is gaining the leading solution for data visualization, which is clearly positive and reinforces our wide moat and positive moat trend ratings.
