Steady as She Goes for SAP in 3Q as S/4HANA Remains ERP Driver
SAP’s third-quarter results were roughly in line with our expectations, as S/4HANA continues to bolster cloud growth while staving off erosion in license sales. The company added 600 new S/4HANA customers in the quarter, bringing the total to 6,900, suggesting that S/4 has penetrated just under 15% of SAP’s enterprise resource planning installed base. Although cloud bookings were somewhat light, in our view, management expressed confidence that deal sizes are increasing as more enterprises evalu...SAP is engaged in selling licenses for software solutions and related support services. Co. derives its revenue from fees charged to its customers for the use of its cloud solutions and for licensing of on-premise software products and solutions.
