Scotts Miracle-Gro Slightly Lowers Full-Year Guidance Amid Recent Headwinds; Shares Fairly Valued

On June 12, Scotts Miracle-Gro announced revised guidance for fiscal 2018. The updated guidance was generally in line with our outlook for both the U.S. consumer and Hawthorne businesses. With minor updates to our 2018 forecast, we maintain our $86 fair value estimate and narrow moat rating. At the current price, we view the shares as fairly valued.
