Shaw Posted Another Solid Quarter on Cable and Wireless Consumer Gains; Shares Slightly Overvalued
Shaw delivered another quarter of impressive customer gains in cable Internet and wireless. The firm added 13,000 net Internet customers in the second quarter of fiscal 2017, similar to last quarter’s 17,000 customer gain and far higher than the 4,000 customer gain in the year-ago period. This indicates that Shaw is making strides with its WideOpen Internet 150 (150 megabits per second) package that is attractively priced for customers who would like to update to higher speed packages.
